On October. 29th,2015, Prof. Xiaofeng Meng visited Purdue University at the invitation from Prof. Elisa Bertino, the famous computer scientist, to report the research progress on the frontier problems like Big Data Privacy by Web and Mobile Data Management (WAMDM) Lab. After Prof. Bertino visiting Renmin University on invitation on Jan. 20th this year, Prof. Meng and Prof. Bertino agreed to sign the agreement of corporative Research in order to further the corporation on Big Data Privacy studies, aiming at promoting communication and cooperation of both laboratories.

Elisa Bertino is professor of Computer Sciences at the CS Department of Purdue University and serves as Director of Purdue University Research Center and Research Director of Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS). She is the fellow member/editorial board of IEEE and ACM. Prof. Bertino received the 2002 IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award for "For outstanding contributions to database systems and database security and advanced data management systems", and the 2005 IEEE Computer Society 2005 Kanai Award. Prof. Bertino's research activities cover many areas in the fields of information security and database systems. Current research includes: access control systems, cloud data security, privacy protection technology, digital identity management, secure computer architecture, Mobile device security technology.
Prof. Bertino had elaborately planned for this visit. Professors from Purdue University offered introduction of research achievements by Cyber Center and CERIAS, which was followed by a presentation of research progress of WAMDM Lab by Prof. Meng. Student representatives from both sides then reported about their own researches. Questions, especially those about Big Data Privacy Management, were raised up and got discussed. Prof. Ninghui Li from CS Department of Purdue University also participated this activity. Finally Prof. Bertino and Prof. Meng signed the agreement of corporative Research with the expectation of breakthroughs on Big Data Privacy Management.
