It (Big Data Analytics and Intelligence Lab) was founded in 2013 September, is the youngest team in the school of information. The team attracts 5 young teachers, 6 doctoral students, 7 postgraduates, 11 undergraduates from Microsoft Research Institute of Peking University, overseas, etc. The initial formation of a young and dynamic team, the team is rapidly growing, the near future, there will be a number of domestic and foreign famous universities and research institutions and scholars to join. Our goal is to become a world-class big data analysis and intelligent research institutions within 5 years.

Big data analysis and intelligent laboratory dedicated to explore the potential value of big data and the Internet of science and technology and human society from the application point of view. At present, the research direction of laboratory covers big data, big data system, big data applications.

At present, our research team undertook big data projects of the national 973 program and a number of projects of the National Natural Science foundation. The laboratory also attaches great importance to cooperation with the industry, to establish a cooperative relationship with China, Baidu, Xinhua news agency and other units and enterprises.

Since September 2013, it was established, laboratory researchers have published more than 20 articles of high quality papers in top international journals and conferences. The development team of the "News Probe" big data " can real-time monitor, collect data from network media, and the deep mining and analysis of data, is an international leader in network data sensing and real-time multidimensional analysis technology.
