报告题目: A Graph-Theoretic Approach to Global Stability of Heterogenous Transmission Dynamics of Infectious Diseases

Abstract:

As more complex structures being added to epidemiological models to describe transmission heterogeneity of infectious diseases, analyzing dynamical behaviors of these complex models pose a great challenge for applied mathematicians and modelers.

I will recall a recently established Graph-theoretical approach to Lyapunov functionals and introduce a unified framework to the Lyapunov stability theory. Many examples with complex compartmental structures are shown and illustrated by the approach. Recent progress in this area are summarized including delay differential equations, integral-differential equations etc.
