In the last two decades, much research has been done on the econometric and statistical methods to analyze causal effects of programs or policies. These methods are called treatment effect models. In this notes, I provide an overview of this area and give references to technical research, including IV estimators for treatment effects, regression discontinuity designs and quantile treatment effects estimator.
