Two PhD student positions in Australia are available

Two PhD student positions are available to start in Jan. 2015 in Dr. Lu Qin’s group, in the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Australia.

Scholarship Value: The living allowance stipend in 2014 is AU$25,392 per annum (tax exempt, indexed annually, tuition fee waived). This scholarship is paid fortnightly for a period of 3 years.

Qualifications: Students with bachelor degree from Computer Science or other-related fields are all welcome.

1. Major GPA > 75/100.

2. Proficient with C or C++.

3. Courses on database, data structure, and algorithm are desired.

4. Experience with ACM/ICPC is a plus.

5. A solid background in data structure and algorithm is a plus.

Admission procedure:

1) Interested students can send their resumes and scanned transcripts to Dr. Qin;

2) After review, candidates will be interviewed by phone;

3) Qualified student need to take an IELTS to meet UTS requirements, if they haven’t done so;

4) Students with oral offer need to submit official application to UTS, indicating that Dr. Qin is the supervisor.

5) Official offer will be issued by UTS. Admitted students will be fully financially supported with a research scholarship.
